Publisher. This site is published by Michael Olaiya Enterprises, LLC (“we”), Atlanta, Georgia. It is a personal site. It exists to say who I am and what I care about, not to collect information about you. This notice states exactly what happens when you visit, what we keep, and how to reach us about it.
What we collect. Nothing, unless you give it. If you subscribe to Notes, you give us your email address. It is stored by Mailchimp, the service that sends the notes, and it is used only to send them. Every note carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.
If you write to us. Email sent to hello@michaelolaiya.com is kept so that we can reply and so that the conversation has a record. Writing to us does not add you to any list.
Site measurement. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to see how many people visit and whether pages load quickly. Both are cookieless and aggregated: no cookie is set, no profile is built, and no visitor is followed across other sites. Vercel, which hosts the site, also keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and operation, as every host does.
What we do not do. We set no advertising cookies and run no advertising. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone for their own purposes. We do not buy data about you. We do not use your email address for anything other than the notes you asked for or the reply you are waiting on.
Third-party embeds. The Music page embeds videos from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode. Nothing loads until you press play; when you do, YouTube may collect data under Google’s own privacy policy, which we do not control.
Children. This site is written for adults and is not directed to children under thirteen. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has subscribed, email us and the address will be removed.
Your choices. Unsubscribe at any time using the link in any note. To see, correct, or delete anything we hold about you, email hello@michaelolaiya.com and it will be done. If you live where the law gives you additional rights, including the European Union, the United Kingdom, and California, those rights apply, and the same address is how to exercise them.
